- Hours: 1st Shift Monday – Friday 7 am- 330pm
- Pay: 20.00/hour
Primary duties of the Mechanical Assembler include:
- Previous knowledge, experience or interest in metal work/fabrication; assembly of products etc.
- Ability to learn the assembly of a variety of metal products. NOT on an assembly line.
- 2-3 yrs. knowledge + experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret prints +/or schematics.
- Mechanically inclined: able to use a variety of power/air and hand tools, including rivet guns.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with regularity. (average parts run 2-15 lbs.)
- Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, reach, pull and push duringthe course of a shift.
- High attention to detail & fine tactical ability.
- Pallet jack experience.
- Cross-training on finishing equipment such as a Fladder, Hand grinders, deburring equipment, etc.
Requirements of the Mechanical Assembler include:
- Ability to accurately identify various metals such as a variety of Steels, Aluminum, etc.
- Job Shop experience.
- Physical demands: Bending, Twisting, Standing, Stooping, Sitting, Walking, and Reaching overhead.
- Manufacturing experience in a Job Shop environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Forklift / Pallet jack experience.
- Experience in application of the following: Silicone + Butyl Sealants; Gasket.
